Thank you in advance for your service and support of our new teachers!

Please connect with your new teacher and make a plan to meet with him/her in his/her classroom during the morning of Friday, August 24th. New teachers will be in their classrooms from 9am to 12pm that day. Please review some checklist items and share discussion on other topics. You might also want to use this time to set up a meeting schedule to continue your work together.

Suggested items:

Gradebook-set up and ready for grades?
Website-able to login and make changes/updates?
Seating charts or will you allow students to choose their location?
Class rules/norms-will you share these or collaborate with your students to create agreed upon norms?
Discuss strategies for classroom management to support the class rules/norms.
Do you have a plan for distributing books, collecting textbook numbers, and handing out other start of the year items so you can hold students accountable for their materials?
Will you start the year with a syllabus? Letter home to families?
